Kaspersky Antivirus is a powerful malware protection program that boasts an impressive set of features. The exact list of features available depends on the plan of pricing you select that can range from basic virus and malware protection to a complete security suite.

The user interface for Kaspersky is visually appealing and clear. The majority of functions are displayed as tiles on the main screen. From there, you can start fast or full scans and review the results in a the most concise and clear way. You can also determine the status of your device (e.g. the green tick means you are protected) and receive recommendations for next steps.

Kaspersky has many amazing features that include a data leak detector system that examines the dark internet to search for personal information available for sale (e.g. email addresses, credit card numbers, and social security numbers) as well as scans for weak settings that find settings that make your device vulnerable. Other security tools include a keyboard that is on screen that stops keyloggers from tracking your physical movements to discover the login details of your account and an emergency disk for disinfecting computers that have been hacked. Kaspersky Internet Security subscriptions include a free VPN, but it's only 300MB per day.

While the software does a great job of protecting your device, some users have concerns about the privacy practices of Kaspersky Lab. The company is owned by Russian security firm Eugene Kaspersky and has been accused of collaborating with the government, even during the conflict in Ukraine. Although the company denies these allegations but the controversy has damaged its reputation. Kaspersky's Global Transparency Initiative was launched to regain trust and show its commitment to privacy and independence.
